Business Innovations of 2010

Jay Lillie
Entrepreneurial leaders do not have a mindset that adapts to failure. Things go wrong, of course, but entrepreneurs do not call them failures they call them glitches, mistakes,

bungles, setbacks, but not failing.

When one such entrepreneur was asked about the hardest decision he ever had to make, he answered that he didnīt know what a hard decision was. An entrepreneur will approach decision-making with the idea that thereīs a strong likelihood that he/she will be

wrong. This doesnīt dissuade them to the contrary they just do the best they can and worry about handling obstacles as they arise.

Here are a few top entrepreneurs in the U.S.

Since 1999, Rosemary Chieppo of Born to Organize has been making her living doing what most people hate to do: organizing! Born to Organize provides home and office organizing, relocation, and lifestyle management services to busy people who recognize the value of an organized lifestyle but lack the time, inclination or skill to achieve it on their own. Getting organized means changing old habits that aren´t working and replacing them with new, better ones. It´s a process. When it´s over you will be left with more time, more money and less stress. Organizing is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself. It clears the path to life´s bigger destinations!

bump babies, inc.

Started the day I found out I was pregnant. It's a feeling that every first-time mum can relate to. There was a transition time in the first trimester when no one could tell if I was pregnant or if I lost my gym membership and was binging on ice cream & chocolate! I wanted to scream "I´m not fat...[bump] on board!" to everyone that stared at my changing body. I am excited to share my [bump] baby under manufacturing process (TM) designs which are fun, sexy, stylish, comfortable and simply [bump]alicious (TM) with other proud expecting mamas & papas.

StressIllness.com

In over half of people who go to the doctor, no explanation for their

symptoms can be found with diagnostic tests. This is usually because

their illness is connected to one or more of several types of hidden

stresses, usually unrecognized by the patient. The dilemma is

magnified by the fact that few health care professionals have had

formal training in how to uncover and treat this condition which is

called Stress Illness or, more formally, PsychoPhysiologic Disorder.

My role is to educate medical clinicians, mental health professionals

and the public about how this condition develops and how it can be

diagnosed and treated successfully. I present my ideas at medical

conferences, teaching hospitals, universities and via broadcast media

all over the U.S. and in Europe.

The Made in the USA Foundation was created to promote products made in the USA, and to pro-mote American values around the world. A part of this mission is to raise standards around the world concerning minimum wages, environ-mental standards, labor rights and human rights.

The Made in the USA Foundation

Formed in 1989 with matching grants from the United Auto Works and the Ford Motor Company. The intent was that the Foundation would be neither pro nor anti-union. The Foundation developed and supported two pieces of federal legislation that have been en-acted into law. The first success was passage of the American Automobile Labeling Act. This law requires all new cars and trucks to have a label on the window of the vehicle that states where the vehicle was assembled, the percentage of U.S. and imported content and where the engine and transmission were made.
