FOOD Share kicks off Tackle Hunger campaign with visit from actress, Jane Leeves
"During these difficult times that we now live in, it is important that everyone chip in and help others," said Jane Leeves. "Wonderful organizations like FOOD Share are doing great things for so many people. I feel honored to contribute to their efforts this holiday season by donating proceeds and products from my natural skin and baby care line, Tellurian."
The annual Tackle Hunger campaign, running Nov. 4, 2010 until Jan. 10, 2011, helps FOOD Share distribute food to 150 pantry partners throughout Ventura County and feed over 61,000 hungry friends and neighbors each month.
"The holiday season is a particularly tough time for many Ventura County families," said Bonnie Weigel, CEO of FOOD Share. "At this giving time of year, FOOD Share is thankful that we can rely on donations and community support to help us provide food and nourishment to our growing population of hungry friends and neighbors."
