If you witnessed the interview that Scott Pelley had with our President on 60 minutes you should be alarmed my friends. What in the world is happening to America?
He actually told Pelley that he doesn't care that he is not popular. That's O.K. if that is the way he feels about it!
But he also told Pelley that regardless of what Congress says he can ignore their desires. That is something you and I as American citizens ought out to be very concerned about. That is setting himself up as a dictator and not as our President. Why do you think we still have three branches of government?
Pelley asked point blank, "Do you believe as Commander-in-Chief that you have the authority to put the troops in there no matter what the Congress wants to do?" And Bush's answer was, "I do, yeah. Now, I fully understand they could try to stop me from doing it. But I made my decision, and we're going forward."
Wake up ladies and gentlemen we have a dictator on our hands trying to lead our great country! There is no doubt about it. Remember, he even made the statement earlier that it would be nice to have that role!
