1000 Calorie Challenge - Does Arnel Ricafranca and His Program Work?

John Davenport
Recently, I've received a copy of the 1000 Calorie Challenge program by Arnel Ricafranca and Joel Marion, two fitness and fat loss experts whose work I've been familiar with for some time now. I wanted to see whether this program really works or not.

Here's what I discovered:

The 1000 Calorie Challenge Program is a fitness and eating plan whose goal is to get you to lose a large amount of fat fast. The program uses an intensive workout routine which includes 3 1000 calorie workouts per week. Each of the workouts is constructed of a number of strength circuits: doing a series of strength exercises one after the other. This leads to a rapid calorie burning, a burst in metabolism, and increased fat burning.

What I like about the way the 1000 Calorie Challenge program is organized is that you get a complete exercise library with all the exercises in the program explained and shown to help you do them right. Arnel Ricafranca, the fitness expert in the program, does a great job in explaining the right form to keep with each exercise.

Where Joel Marion comes in is largely in the nutritional aspect of the program. This part includes a detailed eating plan which includes some low calorie days, moderate calorie days, and Cheat Days. The low calorie days help you create a bigger calorie deficit and increase the amount of fat that you burn rather than other calorie stores in your body.

The Cheat Days help you maintain a higher metabolism and make the entire program more fun to do as you're allowed a lot of freedom in what you eat during your Cheat Days.

Put together, you're getting a powerful two pronged approach for fat loss. You do intensive workouts and can get rid of fat quickly by eating correctly.

There's no doubt that this is a challenging program but it is the only way to achieve the kind of results it promises, a fast and big fat loss.
