Public support for the Nepali King!
It is the inborn right of the people, to rally around their King for the cause of the nation and it is his constitutionally inherent obligation, to side with them. The people must be uplifted from their deteriorating condition, as one finds today, due to unpardonable political incriminations and injustices wrought upon them, as a result of partisan mal-governance. The political scenario appears to be horrendous. Yet, there is no way out than to come to an amicable point of solution, to end the impasse through consensus. This is what the people want desperately at present.
The population throughout the country is completely fed-up with the irresponsibility, extreme greed, unruliness, deception, indiscipline and regressive conspiratorial politics, being hatched by dubious, arrogant leaders of mainstream parties in particular. This has precipitated over the surface, as futile opposition for the sake of opposition only, dooming the very national interest. Popular patience crosses all limits of having to endure unprecedented penance, on account of viciousness, violence and ruthless bloodshed among own countrymen, to no body's advantage. This is ruining the future of the entire nation and peace loving population. 'Peace, security and development!,' is the new slogan echoing throughout the length and breadth of the country. This is the unchallenged 'voice of the people, which must be heard and transformed into thriving reality from hence onwards.' The guarantee of their right to live in peace and security, is their unquestionable priority and nothing else beyond it. They abhor unhealthy, unproductive politicking, being carried out by the already defunct political leaderships of parties, which have not been made accountable to the people. When the popular aspiration is crushed down by vested interest politics, the people are bound to turn to the King for being redeemed from the perilous plight. It is the ultimate wish of the people to aspire for the guardian role of the Monarchy, for salvaging the nation from the state of turmoil and uncertainty. The entire mass now desires for the King to be in their midst, listen to him and communicate with him, in keeping with their profound faith in the guardian institution of monarchy.
The political leaders, as the so-called representatives of the people, miserably failed to go to them and address their grievances. These spineless political leaders trembled, to go to the heart of these trouble stricken areas, to assess the situation, know the constraints and evolve programs for ensuring peace, security and development. Rather, they disgracefully remained cocooned, within the urban corners of the capital and the district centers only. They shamelessly, gave prime importance to their own safety, comfort and shallow rhetorical politics. Do these discreditable elements, deserve to be trusted any more by the people? Are they not stumbling with their own lost public credibility? They are far from responding to the real voice of the population. They failed in serving the interest of the country and public, in a constructive manner, at this moment of difficulties? As the nation, people and popular will, being supreme, King has made wise and pragmatic approach, as desired by the people. This is with the aim to fathom the depth of the burning problems and contemplate upon, as to how best consensus based solutions, can be derived by setting democratic polity on its right track. Under no circumstance, it can be adversely affected by the politicians' humbug-infested slogans saying that the 'Monarchy is becoming active'. The very existence of the nation and the fundamental democratic rights of the people are gripped by dissension and volatile trends. This is on account of the musical chair occupying political games only, as had been played by the politicians and party leaders.
It is the right of the people, to aspire for the guardian role of their King. In his capacity as the head of the state, he has appropriately placed himself among the people, with the sole intention of solving the country's problems through national unity and wishes of his people, by opening the knot of constitutional difficulty. Effort is for sustaining democratic polity, without derailment from its true course, for the benefit of all. They believe in the King, as their ultimate redeemer from the onslaughts of scourge, under which they have so far remained wretchedly agonized. The self-poised people's representatives, did not dare to go to the very core of the insurgency affected areas, to face the population and cooperate with them. Are they not carrying their blotted faces, with blisters of corruption, misdeeds and diffused images tainted by their own unclean legacy? Do they have the spine and enough marrow in the bones to face the populism? In absence of drastic refinement of the entire political system itself, is the contaminated national polity, in a position to deliver as expected by the public?
After all, it is the King, in his fullest pro-nation and pro-people attire, evidenced unflinching determination to reach out to the people, as expected by them, in most remote and difficult, trouble infested areas of the Mid West and Far western parts. This was with the noble objective, to be abreast with the situation and have face to face communication, with them. The question arises as to how best, result-oriented formula could be devised, to cater to the popular aspiration, in consonance with what the public are longing for, in matters of guaranteed peace, security and development, as the foremost considerations. He has constantly reiterated his stand that there must be good governance in conformity, with the will of the people, to ensure their betterment and welfare. This is the cardinal truth. He has always emphasized on the need of national consensus and unity to first resolve the crisis, establish an environment of peace, for completion of democratic election as early as possible. He is clear in his perception that the entire democratic exercise must have its fundamental bearing on patriotism of the soil. The truth further needs to be driven home that the King has come out with his increasingly clear and transparent disposition. Yet the failed political leaders, continue to harp their same stereotyped tune of negativism.
They expose their unclear stand, misperception in total deviation from the pervading reality of the time that demands stability of peace and social security. The people are not interested in any sort of political idiosyncrasy any more. It needs to be borne well by every mind that the King is for the people and the people are for the King, in the mission of bettering the destiny of the nation, caught in the cob web of unproductive instability. It is essential that the political leaders and party members must make themselves clear on all national issues, without forgetting that patriotism must be the bed rock of democracy, in enhancing national interest and overall public welfare. Dual character, dual policy, conspiratorial, threat-tainted fear generating, self-centered politics are unpalatable to the people. These have no room in the country's polity, warranting thorough overhauling and cleansing.
One who drives on with vibrant patriotism, as the focal point, one who advances with the goal of establishing lasting peace and creation of violence-free social order, one who pursues the ethics and values of genuine democracy, is bound to be the real pro-people leader of the new dimensional politics from now on wards. This is imperative, undeniable and likely to gain momentum in the shrill air of this country, that has reached its extreme stage of deterioration and point of inflection. It must now make its u-turn in the refined, positive direction. At long last, concrete state policy and program for peace and development are awaited by the nation in its entirety.
