Murders Most Foul
I'll be mostly covering international events with international influence. Covering is a wrong expression actually, in my context, so I'll just be expressing my own opinion about what all is happening in the world. I'll also write about things happening around me, or about things that just catch my fancy. Someone recently remarked about me as, "Mr. no-it-all without knowing a thing." To an extent it is true – I do have an opinion on everything, but that's what writers are supposed to do :-).
The part of India where I live in is abuzz these days with a ghastly scandal. Since I'm not sure whether I can post links from other online sources here, I'll just tell what's been going on. Skeletons and rotten body parts of more than 30 children and young girls were discovered around the house of a rich person who lives in the same suburb where I live – NOIDA (NOIDA stands for New Okhla Industrial Area; not many industries remain here due to rampant extortion rackets that get the open patronage of the local politicians. Normal residents are not harassed because they cannot pay the hefty ransom money).
This rich person, along with his equally or even more psychopathic servant, used to lure small children to his house and then used to rape them and murder them. The servant, it's gradually being discovered, used to sexually engage with even the dead bodies. The narco-analysis of the servant has brought forth another bone-chilling
fact: he used to roast the breasts of the recently butchered young girls and then eat them. He even ate the levers of the young children.
The scariest part of this entire episode is that some high-profile people may be involved in the entire racket, so even if these two monsters are locked up safely in a high-security prison, there might be many similar people roaming around in the area, or even all over the country.
Well, it's a hideous topic for the first introductory article but it's been occupying my mind these days. It's scary what sort of sick ghosts dwell in the bodies of normal looking people.
I'll end here. I hope my second article here will be more cheerful or at least less gruesome.
