Great Austin Neighborhoods
Steiner Ranch is one such neighborhood. A master-planned community, Steiner Ranch will have over 4,000 homes when completed. The neighborhood has many parks, playgrounds, pools, tennis courts and miles of hike and bike trails. It also has a boat ramp on Lake Austin for boating enthusiasts. The schools that serve Steiner Ranch are outstanding.
Lake Pointe is a neighborhood off Bee Cave Road west of downtown Austin. There are several sections of Lake Pointe and each has something unique to offer. One section looks like a fairly traditional neighborhood. However, part of this area has homes overlooking the hills of a large nature preserve. Another section of Lake Pointe has larger, more expensive homes with dramatic Hill Country views. Yet another is gated and contains the most expensive homes in Lake Pointe.
Lakeway is a city on Lake Travis around 40 minutes west of downtown Austin. Lakeway contains the neighborhoods of Flintrock Falls, Rough Hollow and the Preserve at Lakeway. The Preserve has a number of homes with great Hill Country views. Flintrock Falls is a gated golf community. Rough Hollow is the newest community in Lakeway. It offers home sites with Hill Country and Lake Travis views and has wonderful amenities.
Lakeway surrounds the Village of The Hills. The Hills is a gated golf community. The main gate is manned 24 hours a day. There are two entrances to The Hills at the rear of the neighborhood that let people in with RFID tags. Both Lakeway and The Hills are served by outstanding Lake Travis ISD schools.
Any way you look at the western part of the Austin area, there are some wonderful neighborhoods to choose from.
