On October 2, I will be joining thousands of other activists in Washington D.C. for the One Nation Working Together rally. We'll march in solidarity at the Nation's Capitol in order to protect our jobs, our education, our economy and send a message to America that we're united for people, not corporations.
I know you probably can't make it to D.C. a week from today and that's okay.
You can back us up by hosting a Day of Action event in your neighborhood instead. Our goal is hundreds of actions, mobilizing thousands of activists, contacting tens of thousands of voters nationwide. Here's the thing though, we can't reach that goal without your help. Will you host a Day of Action event on October 2, one month from Election Day?

Here's how the day breaks down. We'll start the day off with an online rally and conference call at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. I'll be calling in live from the march in D.C. and I'll be joined by some special guests, including DFA Progressive Hero Alan Grayson and Grassroots All-Star Beth Krom. We'll hear the progressive message for victory in November and get fired up to make it happen.
After the online rally, DFA members all across the country will volunteer for progressive campaigns locally. Whether you decide to knock doors in your neighborhood, attend a campaign rally nearby, or make phone calls from home, a DFA National Field Organizer will help you get set up for action!
All you need is a place for a small group of DFA members to meet and access to a computer or speaker phone.
Host a Day of Action event in your state!
DFA members have made it clear all year long that they will be the force behind our progressive champions.
That's why we have endorsed candidates like Beth Krom in California, Annie Kuster in New Hampshire, and Tarryl Clark in Minnesota to name just a few of our 116 great progressive candidates endorsed up and down the ballot in 2010. These candidates will stand up for our progressive values every day -- to protect Social Security, restore our economy, and take on the giant corporate interests that continue to bankrupt this nation.
Frankly, I love the Fall becuase it's Get Out The Vote season. Election Day isn't just a far off day in November anymore -- we are only 38 days away and there's never been a more important time to get to work.
DFA members consistently stand up and take action when the moment is most critical. We never sit back and wait for change, we work to make it happen. Next Saturday is exactly one month from Election Day and it's now or never to Get Out The Vote!

November 2nd will be a crossroads -- we can either make a drastic turn backwards towards the failed policies of George Bush and Dick Cheney -- or we can defend our Progressive Heroes and elect better Democrats to keep fighting for our core values. The choice is clear. Lets get to work.
