Personal letters from young progressive Democrat activists.
Joseph -
November's election is about keeping the momentum moving forward -- and never going back. Nothing made that fact more clear to me than meeting the new crop of Dean Corps Organizers. These 5 young people cut their teeth on the Obama campaign as volunteers, and now they are ready to go out there keep fighting for world they want to live in.
They inspire me, and I think they will inspire you too.

We asked our Dean Corps Organizers to give us updates on their progress with their campaigns on the ground. The first week included their training and travel to their new campaign homes.
Lindi Conover, who is working with Roxanne Conlin for Senate (IA-Sen), talks about getting on the road,
"I left my hometown of Anderson, Indiana, earlier this afternoon with new spark plugs (thanks, Dad!) and a mission: to help progressive Democrat candidates get elected this November."
Jay Matthew who is helping out Bill White for Texas, talks about the first week of training,
"The training was amazing. We are ready to create the change this country so desperately needs."
Meanwhile, Ashley Green -- Manan Trivedi for Congress (PA-6) -- really enjoyed the journey,
"One 5-hour car ride and approximately 1,000,000 fabulous Broadway show tunes later, I was in Philly. Now I'm off to what will hopefully be a busy and important day of politicking."
DFA started Dean Corps to train young organizers and build a new generation of progressive campaigners. In this first year, we asked them to write a weekly diary so that you can keep up with their progress on the campaigns -- and see the results of your support for DFA.

These organizers have really hit the ground running. Kassidy Johnson who is working with Tom Perriello for Congress (VA-5) talks about her first job on the campaign,
"I've been recruiting volunteers and just on Tuesday spoke at the Democratic Women's League picnic... with an audience of about 50 folk, it was a great turnout for a Tuesday afternoon. With less than 46 days left until election day, we are going "hard in the paint" as the young folks say. Keep us in your prayers!"
Matt Winner - Mary Jo Kilroy for Congress (OH-15)—sums why the Dean Corps work is so important,
"Mary Jo Kilroy has one of the best progressive voting records in Congress, and has been targeted for defeat by the Republican opposition. . . .My campaign experience has taught me that even though victory is often hard to come by, a good campaign can accomplish things that had previously been considered impossible. History is made by the intelligent individuals among us who can see history before it happens -- and then make it happen."

Stay inspired and thanks for all that you do,
