Things I Learned In 2006
Maybe you realized you liked something you did not know you had a liking for, or you are capable of doing something you didn’t know you could do until you tried.
Or maybe you learned about something that makes you look at life a little different. In the recently ended year of 2006, there were quite a few things I learned. A couple of those things were the laws of attraction and the power of energy.
A friend introduced me to this aspect of the laws of attraction, and although it might not be as easy as it sounds, more information about this can be found at: www.thesecret.tv
But basically and what I gathered from this philosophy, is that the more we push or try to push aside the things we do not like, the more we attract them to us.
Or if we constantly dwell on the negative, then the negative will come to us. Since the mind is such a powerful force, it is not always easy to control what’s in our subconscious, but one thing we can do is try to welcome everything, the negative, the positive, the in between as opposed to pushing away the things and or people we don’t like.
As stated before, this is not easy, for there are some things in our lives that we have no control over. Things like accidents or unexpected incidents.
Try letting go of the grudges, prejudices or even the dread of going to your mailbox in this aftermath of the holiday season to find that stack of bills. The bills are going to be there, but maybe if you don’t spend most of your free time dwelling on them, that overwhelmed feeling you get upon receiving the mail won’t be as intense.
Another thing I learned about was something known as the Celestine Prophecy. This is also pretty profound information, but one thing I did learn was the importance of energy. As we all know, this is one matter that has no beginning or end, but how we use it is what is important.
I am sure this has occurred to most of us at least once in our lifetime, but when you have just met someone who likes you, do you get the notion that he/she is trying to control or manipulate you? Maybe this person won’t stop trying to impress you or quit until you have given in to going out on that first date with this person.
Actually, what the person who is doing the controlling is doing is taking your energy. Just like money, the person with the most energy is the one with the most control over whatever situation.
Most times we are not aware of these energy taking devices, but we have all either been a victim of it or doer at some point in our lives, because we are all in search of the same thing, control.
This might never happen, but maybe, just maybe if we learned how to share this energy, or control, the world might be a more peaceful place.
Some people live their entire lives in search of control and constantly struggling with pushing aside the things they don’t want or like. Maybe if we tried doing the opposite for a change, the results might be astounding.
