You are "Person of the Year"

Shirley Roe
Time magazine has named you "Person of the Year" for 2006. Congratulations!

Good, bad or indifferent, every human being in the entire world has been voted “Person of the Year“ by Time Magazine. This proves to me that even Time has come to recognize that we are all in this together, all ONE and all RESPONSIBLE for every success and every failure on this planet.

I personally intend to take this honor and make myself worthy, how about you? Will you help the environment by recycling trash, picking up that piece of garbage and putting it in the trash can, walk instead of drive to the store, encourage and support your neighbor instead of criticize, try to understand other cultures instead of greeting them with predjudice and intolerance? Can you reach out to help a homeless person with a meal or a few coins, offer your services to the elderly or share your expertise with a local school?

Forego your morning coffee shop visit and give the money to charity, offer understanding and love to the addicts and the alcoholics instead of criticism, treat the handicapped like everyone else, because inside they are, can these small changes make a difference? YES. Teach your children and grandchildren to respect each other and their planet and perhaps, just perhaps there is hope for Mother Earth and mankind.

Thank you Time Magazine for making all of us “Person of the Year“, now let's all try and make ourselves worthy. Happy 2007, pray to your God for Peace on Earth and Love of all Mankind. Remember we are all in this together. Shirley Roe, Allbooks Review.
