Romantic Suggestions - Have An Indoor Picnic
If you live in the wrong part of the world, bad weather can certainly ruin your plans. There's the bugs and the wind that likes to blow away anything made of paper or light plastic. The wind also loves to either blow dirt into your food or your food onto the dirt.
If your significant other isn't into the great outdoors, your picnic could take a turn for the worse. Being out in the public also severely limits your romantic "options".
But if romance is your first priority, the indoor picnic has a lot going for it. Try the following three tips on how to make that indoor picnic romantic.
1.) Try to sit down on the floor when eating. Yes, sitting on a chair at a table is more comfortable but it will make it seem like a typical dinner. So much of the romance will be lost since there's nothing special about something that you do every day. Place a quilt or blanket on the floor to keep food and drink off the floor. Use lots of pillows and cushions.
2.) You should serve the same type of food as you would have on a real picnic, also be sure to serve it in baskets and platters. Sizzling meat on a grill should further improve your experience. If you don't own an indoor grill, getting one is worth it.
3.) Put some wood in the fireplace when night arrives. Put on a nature CD with sounds of the wilderness such as running water or rainfall. One way to go over the top is to get a toy planetarium or indoor star projector. These can project a night sky filled with stars on your ceiling. A search on Google for toy planetarium or star projector should produce plenty of makes and models. Now you'll be sipping wine under the stars and listening to crackle of the fireplace and the sounds of nature.
