The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Research Center in south Austin is a leading research institution for native plants. It is also a great place to visit in the spring when the wildflowers are in full bloom. The Center also has educational programs for both kids and adults to help them learn about growing native plants.
Austin City Limits is the longest-running music program in the history of American TV. The show is the only music series to receive the National Medal of Arts. Acts like Eartha Kitt, Smokey Robinson, Bob Dylan as well as locals like Eric Johnson, Monte Montgomery and Los Lonley Boys have been featured on Austin City Limits.
The Executive Segway Tour of Austin is a really fun way to move around and learn about downtown. After some training on the device, a Segway tour taker will go by the state capitol, Driskill Hotel, the Paramount Theater and then cruise Austin´s famous 6th Street. The tour covers more of downtown Austin before wrapping up.

Visit the Cypress Valley Canopy Tour in Spicewood. This is a great place for an adventure through the trees. Soar through the canopies from tree to tree on zip lines. Visitors can also picnic and swim at the private lake on the property.
