Looking For The Perfect Present For The Avid Reader In Your Life?

Stan Grimes
Recently I purchased an E-Book Reader from http://www.ebookwise.com and I must say it is the best purchase I have made since buying my first computer. For a mere $125.00 you can have the world of ebooks in your hands. I am an avid reader and have grown tired of the "popular" or "famous" writers. I look every week at the bookstore offerings and again I see the same names, the same themes, the same topics, and the same glamorous covers. Boring!

I have been for several months now looking for ebook "readers." I bought a Franklin Reader about a year ago and was completely disappointed. It was small, too small. I could barely read the print and it had no backlight to facilitate reading. I shopped around and found that many reading devices were way too expensive for this poor, starving public servant.

I saw an advertisement on http://ebookwise.com for an E-Book reading device for about $125.00. Eureka! I ordered one immediately. This little gadget is about the size of the average paperback, has a background light, and a rechargeable battery which, when completely charged, gives you about eleven hours of reading, and can store over fifty novels for later reading. I have opened an account at several ebook sites on the web and can download a book in about two minutes. "Fantastic!" I say. Now, I can read some really marvelous books by unknown writers, novice writers, and even popular best selling writers.

What are the benefits of having an electronic reading device? Well, let me mention a few: no more waiting in lines at the bookstore; no more two-week wait for bestsellers to be ordered by the bookstore; more variety of authors (thousands more); book prices are between low and reasonable; no more gift books that you have to return because you've read them before; and no more paperbacks to get rid of in your yard sales.

Is there a downside to owning an ebook reader? They cost. Believe me, the cost of an ebook reader is well worth the investment, if (that's a big "if") you love to read. Where can you find information about these devices? Several intenet sites offer detailed information regarding the fascinating items. Try Fictionwise.com, Double Dragon.com, or Ebookwise.com. I must tell you that the editor of Double Dragon Publishing, Deron Douglas, gives a very complete description of all the various devices available on the market today, and it is a rather unbiased description.

Are you looking for the perfect Christmas present for that man/woman who has everything? Try buying them an Ebook Reader. If they love to read, they will love you big time for giving them this wonderful tool.
