OJ Simpson haunting by his own ghost

Isabel P. Ball
Crime really doesn’t pay, to this day, rings loud and true in the life of OJ Simpson, an individual needing no introduction to the world. More than his prowess as a football superstar, he outshined his own prestigious record in the annals when he was tried for murder of the century of his wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman. This yin- yang force seemingly his nature, created a personality adulated by his fans, at the same time, being abhorred by the sagacious and pundits of the society having been freed from a certain noose of criminal justice to languish in jail or the guillotine.

But his freedom did not come cheaply. He has exhausted his hard earned fortune to clinch his invaluable right to be a free man again, even in the face of preponderant evidence that in our more modern forensics would have been a sure death knell to an enigma that is Orenthal James Simpson. While credit is due to his superlative Dream Team, however, fate had its own equitable scale by which we all are seemingly judged. Some members of his Dream Team had had some specious befalls. The principal, a black famous lawyer died from brain tumor, another had defaults with the law. Simpson, the principal, thought of as the killer, lives a life of ordeals, he is monitored, and making it back to the limelight and its material bequeathals have been difficult for him to attain, recently, the book deal.

Classic narcissist, Simpson loves to be in limelight, tauntingly comic in front of the camera, he surrounds himself with white, gorgeous, and young woman, he is alleged to be dealing with drug mafias, money laundering, as with the channeling of the book advance to his two children’s education funds. His behavior reeks with arrogance and complexity, he is like that of the Emperor Nero, playing his fiddle as he watched Rome on fire.

Convicted in the civil case, Simpson continues to avoid paying the sizable court order of 33.1 million dollars judgment to the Brown and Goldman families. The book advance reportedly Simpson received between 2.5-3 million dollars was earmarked for his children’s education, according to reports, was unfair. His behavior is inflammatory, provoking to the victims family. It might have been much better if he would have made an attempt to be conciliatory to the victims’ heirs, eventhough, so doing, would equate to admission of guilt. After all, judgment has been made and he is out of imprisonment danger, unless he commits another perjury. But he and his ilk, much like birds of the same feather flock together bunch, continue to avoid what is fair, just, and honest. Reportedly, in desperation to amass tons of money banking on Simpson’s name, it was reported that the autopsy reports of Nicole are being also peddled in the Internet. How low, depraved and sickening Simpson and his cohorts willingness to go down to magnetize more money just to feed Simpson’s ego and undeserved lifestyle.

Now, that the last nail on OJ Simpson’s coffin, proverbially, has been hammered in by Mr. Murdoch, the big boss of a media newsgroup, when he pulled the plug to the cable interviews related to his book deal, it spelled an ultimate demise on Simpson’s charm and magnetism as a public figure. Astutely heeding the public opinion, Mr. Murdoch has restored the dignity of humanity that the court travesty, in Simpson’s case, has seemed to bastardize.

The curse that fate has adjudged Simpson for his crime will be his Sword of Damocles inching down his throat ever near.
