Patriots Baseball Announces Tryouts for Fall Super League Baseball for High School Age Boys
"We are looking for additional players for our team who want to become great, not players who think they are already great. This is a great opportunity for any young man who would like to continue baseball and have a shot at making his high school team," said Patriots head coach Dave Bresnahan.
The Patriots Baseball team is looking for additional players who would like to play fall baseball on a development team where they can learn and gain additional experience, as well as for those boys who just love to play baseball.
"Our team is specifically designed to help players who want to learn and become better. There are many young athletes out there who love to play baseball but need more help and coaching in order to become good enough to try out for their high school team," explained Coach Bresnahan.
The Patriots Baseball team is inviting players of all ability levels to come to an individual, informal tryout at a time that is convenient for the player and his family. Interested players or parents should call 801-562-5362 to schedule a convenient time with Bresnahan.
"This is a much different tryout than what you might expect. I work with players to determine their potential, not their ability. I want to know if a player is teachable and willing to learn. If you have athletic ability and raw skills, we will help you polish those skills and become a better player," said Coach Bresnahan.
The team needs players who have a desire to play any position in the outfield or infield, including pitcher. Tryouts will continue until all positions are filled.
Practice will begin in late August on weekdays, and games are held on every Saturday from August 28th to October 9th. The team will also participate in two tournaments. The season ends by the end of October.
The team provides complete uniforms for all players to use, training, conditioning, coaching, and practices. Training includes flexibility, strength, endurance, agility, and safety in addition to the fundamental skills of baseball.
There is an annual registration fee of $20 and the fall season has a fee of $200. Tournaments cost an additional $50 each, and players are responsible for their own transportation. Uniforms are provided, but must be returned at the end of the season.
