The Needlessness of Religion
And what has this tactic and acceptance produced? We have children in the Middle East calling for killings. We have children in the Western Hemisphere believing peace will come by surrender ( turning the other cheek ) and emotional charlatans promising impossible after life. We see sects of all religions at war and with a history of warfare. We see monuments raised and razed. We see adornments of man made labor viewed by the young as “gifts” from an unknown “something” with no visible or tactile attributes. We have intimidated scientists and academics rationalizing and apologizing for ideas that they dare not mention or inquire about. We have a society of fear when what we need is courage and a society of cautious repetition when we need bold inquiry and innovation.
We have taken the ethical by products of this indoctrination and passively accepted a mixed economy quietly sliding into a welfare state and eventually complete totalitarianism. We have entered a country not to liberate it, but to passively stand by while it banters various religious superiority tenets and killing those who disagree. It is as if we are blind to the inferno engulfing us.
Yet we continue to listen to the charlatans and the redistribution fanatics intent on taxing all earnings until all incentive to produce is squashed . We donate to the pleas of the “needy” while we watch scandal after scandal occur in these institutions promising a life of peace and prosperity. Even a nonsensical notion that death will be better than life is accepted. Yet it is earthly references they talk of in this imaginary world of beyond.
Our age is one of stifled inquiry. There are no pertinent questions being asked about the truth of the doctrines of the intimidators or the parasitical politicians. Both of these con artists continue to hold their positions by promissory notes they have no intention or ability to fulfill and exists only in their imagination. One bunch (the politicians) talk of a future that ignores history and the other group (the religionists) talk of a life without life as if they could ignore reality. Promising immortality to a mortal is like promising feathers to a fish.
A rational man does not need religion. He recognizes intimidation for what it is and rejects the method and its results. Irrational inner feelings of guilt and obligation which are freely accepted for a promise that man will not be what man is, are only misguided pangs of fear and guilt that seeks relief by joining others to reinforce common misdirected feelings. This explains the many variations of religions and the reason there is not universal commonality. It also explains the reason for the many conflicts and ultimately wars. No one can claim the truth via intimidation and expect reasonable discourse to resolve differences. Claims of the “ true religion’ fire the flames of hatred , rejection and inferiority. Yet this pervades our culture and all because there are too few who will ask why. And why do they not ask why? Because the question of “why” is forbidden by the charlatans who know their foundation rests not on reason but on the insidious practice of faith. If you are forbidden to question and only required to believe what a book contains, your mind is limited . A limited mind with limited avenues of inquiry is all that is standing in the way of liberation from a history and future of tragedy. And for what? So that some can believe against all evidence that life is unlimited. That even though it is gone ,it remains. That all stages of life are valid except the last stage. And yet it is the wish of the faith driven killers to take that life knowing it is the one precious possession that is irreplaceable. These hypocrites who claim their reward will be given them after they die kill innocents as a punishment yet kill themselves as a redeeming action. Such is the result of a fantasy ignoring the reality of human existence.
Those caught by the title of this article and either choose to ignore the content or rely on their faith to discredit it have squelched their inquiry mechanism in favor of the indoctrination and intimidation that has been drilled into them. The indoctrinators know how to manipulate human feelings to override inquiry and doubt. And this is why they have succeeded for so long in perpetuating a history of hate while speaking of love causing war while seeking peace and killing while “embracing” life. Complicated solutions are often simple if the essential cause is addressed. Institutions that do not promote inquiry into their inner workings have much to hide and only a reinforcement of their doctrines perpetuates them. When you look at the world and wonder how events could be so out of sync with the rhetoric, understanding will only come from unlimited inquiry. And if this is what is being discouraged , don’t be surprised that the answers you seek are evasive. The needless is a formidable impediment to truth.
