Recovering deleted email from Outlook 2007
Consider a scenario wherein you are using Outlook 2007 in your system. You are having a real bad day at the office. In the course of things, you get an email from a tourism firm that you have won a vacation over the weekend. As you were in a bad mood, you straightaway deleted the email and left for the day. Next day, things get fine and you suddenly recalled that email and think of going for the short vacation. When you check for the email, you find that it is not there. Not even in the Trash folder. You have no idea what happened to that email after deletion.
Cause:
The most possible reason for this scenario is that you may have selected the Empty the Deleted Items folder on logoff option. This option clears the Deleted Items folder when you quit Outlook.
Resolution:
First things first, you should turn-off the Empty the Deleted Items folder on logoff option if you want to avoid such situations in the future. However, to recover the deleted email you can use the in-built Recover Deleted Items option in Outlook 2007. However, sometimes the Recover Deleted Items folder is not able to recover all or the specific items that you particularly require.
In such cases, you should use a third-party deleted mail recovery software to recover all the items. Such read-only tools are able to recover deleted mails in a PST, EML, or MSG file without overwriting the original contents.
