Sports Auction Attracts Bidders for Vintage Baseball Cards, Bats, Autographs

A near set of Williams Caramel cards from 1910 brought over $21,000 while a group of T-206 white borders netted over $16,000 in the recent Mastro Auctions Classic Collector sale of sports cards and memorabilia.

Among the other highlights from the sale catering to more budget-minded collectors were some things that did indeed take some deep pockets:

1971 Topps Baseball 4th-6th Series Unopened Vending Boxes (3) - All GAI NM-MT+ 8.5 - $19,613.

Babe Ruth 1917-1921 H&B "250" Professional Model Bat - $13,395.

Lou Gehrig vault-marked Louisville Slugger $12,177.

1909-11 E90-1 American Caramel Cy Young - PSA 6 - $9,148.

1911 T201 Mecca Double Folders Crawford/Cobb - PSA 8 $10,063.

25 1975 Topps unopened rack packs many with stars showing (GAI) $9,148.
