Third Annual Mom’s Choice Awards™

The Prestigious Award Ceremony to be Televised and Held at the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center

Washington DC/New York City – (October 2006) – The 3rd Annual 2007 Moms’ Choice Awards, the publishing world’s own Oscars, sponsored by the Just For Mom Foundation (www.momschoiceawards.com) is officially underway and has expanded beyond the publishing realm! The award ceremony will be televised at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco which has been secured for the October 10, 2007 event located at the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center, a vital and active performance venue for numerous organizations presenting a wide range of artistic, cultural and entertainment programming. The elegant Moms Choice Awards trophies are designed by R. S. Owens, the same company that makes the Oscar and the Emmy.

The Just For Mom Foundation is proud to announce Twila C. Liggett, Ph.D. as their honory judge. Dr. Liggett is the Creator of the 24 Emmy Award Winning PBS show, Reading Rainbow and has recently joined the faculty of Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, where she will train future teachers in literacy education and media.

The Mom’s Choice Awards™ brings a prominent group of other judges in addition to Dr. Liggett who are involved in the decision making process for this contest featuring writers, editors, and many leading entrepreneurs and luminaries in publishing and children industry professionals including Julie Aigner-Clark, Creator of Baby Einstein and the Safe Side with John Walsh of America’s Most Wanted; Florrie Binford Kichler, Founder of Patria Press; Jodee Blanco, New York Times Bestselling Author and LeeAnn Thieman, co-authors of several of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series of books.

The Mom’s Choice Awards™ contest have already received hundreds of high quality submissions in all categories as well as new product categories that have been added. The categories are Children’s Picture Books, Illustrations, Children’s Chapter Books, Parenting Books, Adult Fiction and Non-fiction Books, Journals, Children’s DVDs or Videos, Specialty Cards, Parenting or Children’s Web Sites, Educational Products, and Charitable or Philanthropic Books.
