Found: One 1968-69 Bobby Orr Game Used Jersey

Rich Mueller
A Bobby Orr game-used road jersey from the '68-69 season has entered the sports memorabilia hobby after a man walked into a Canadian show, toting it inside an ordinary bag.

It was a gift for a Manitoba kid who'd broken his leg playing baseball over 25 years ago.

A real Bobby Orr jersey cheered up the young recipient. Years later, he's going to be even happier. The jersey of the Boston Bruins' Hall of Famer has been consigned to a Montreal auction company and hockey-mad Canadians as well as Orr fans in the US are going ga-ga over this piece of royal garb.

Marc Juteau of Classic Auctions hopes to get between $75,000 and $100,000 for the Orr jersey. But it may fetch more: another Orr game-worn jersey sold in April for $179,654.79, the all-time record for a hockey collectible at auction.
