A Corrupt Congress Created Mark Foley

Ken Hughes
There’s no question Congress is corrupt financially, morally and politically it make little difference which party they belong to. Some Congressmen sell their vote for cash some barter them for goods and services. The system requires manipulating congressional votes in order for congressmen to survive in a corrupt system.

Mark Foley acted inappropriately because he was allowed to do so. Even rape and murder are allowed in the higher halls of our government as we saw in the cases of Teddy Kennedy and Bill Clinton. Liberal Democrats can explain it any way they like but Kennedy and Clinton both got away with crimes no Republican, as a matter of fact no citizen could have ever expected to get away with.

The media is being made to look like a bunch of vultures over their handling of the Mark Foley incident. First they all held the story for months waiting for the elections to draw nearer, second they went on a speculation binge before the facts were known. This is making the Media look like the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party. The Internet is becoming the conscience of public opinion cable television and talk radio are following not far behind. This leaves MSM in a quandary do they join in presenting the facts or do they continue to shill the Democratic Party line.

It’s the lack of accountability by the Media that’s allowed both parties of congress to slip into a culture of corruption. The Media challenges broadcasters like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Fox News for their claim of being fair and balanced in their programming. Those programs represent both sides of the issue, in each program they present co-hosts one from each political persuasion, can we say that about NBC, ABC, CBS I think not.

The founding fathers made the media free of government influence for a reason that was so they would hold the government responsible for their actions, not just one political party but all of government. Somewhere along the line both the media and congress have failed the American people.

The time is now to vote the corrupt congress out and bring the next generation in. Vote No for Incumbents in November!!
