As the Texas Holdem Fifth Street is revealed, the remaining players in the round has a chance to bust out their opponents in betting or they have to go on a head to head match to see which player has the best hand. In the latter case, the players who call on the pot will have to reveal their cards on the table to see if which among them has the best 5-card combination.
It is almost predictable who will continue betting on the fifth street. More often than not, players who have called bets on the fourth street will continue on with their aggressiveness in the fifth street. The fifth street is also an arena for players who wish to go all in. When this happens, there is a big chance that one of the players on the table will be busted out of the game.
It would be to your advantage to only call on the Fifth Street or river if you are really confident that you have the best hand on the table. You can determine this by taking a good look at the cards you have in your hands or your hole cards and at the cards that lay face up on the table - the community cards. If the combination you have shows a strong flush straight or full house, you can always confidently call or raise your opponents.
Just remember that the Texas Holdem Fifth Street is where the final round of betting happens, and is your last chance of proving your cards strength and beating down your opponents.
