In the internet you can find websites where you can order supplies that you will need for candle making. You can make not just ordinary candles but one that is unique or extraordinary because the designs are out of your imagination.
To make candles, you will need crock pot or a double broiler, thermometer, candle wax chips (preferably pre-formulated for candles), glass container with lid, an appropriate sized pre-tabbed wick, essential oils and food coloring. First, you heat the wax in the crock pot to 160 degrees, making sure it does not over heat. Mix the scented oils first and stir after the wax reaches 160 degrees. Add food coloring when mixed thoroughly.
Carefully pour the candle ingredients into the jar leaving room at the top so the lid will fit and save little wax for topping off. Then straighten the wick and lower the metal disk base into the melted wax and try to place the disk as close to the center of the candles as possible and make sure the wick can stand straight up on its own. Adhere the base of the wick with a dot of glue will make it easier to keep the wick to the center.
Usually it will take around six hours to have the candle cool down. If there are sunken portion on the candle just pour reheated wax to even this out. Let it cool and now you have your own candle. You can be creative by adding design or may use different shapes.
