Time To Drain The Swamp: Sen. George Allen Has Got To Go!

To quote Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.): It's time to drain the swamp. The culture of corruption is firmly entrenched in the Republican-controlled Congress.

After taking a bath you don't take a net and skim the dirt and grime, you pull the plug and let it drain. It's time to throw the Republican rascals out of office, and usher in a new era of clean government.

Foleygate has demonstrated that the "family values" that the Republicans espouse have a lot in common with a mafia family.

Sen. George Allen is one of the Republican creatures that has thrived in the Macaca-filled swamp. We all have heard the accusations of his racist tendencies. We've heard about Confederate flags, racial slurs and photo ops with racist organizations.

But now we learn that Senator Allen indulges in the financial shenanigans that are common on the Republican side of the aisle.

From the Associated Press:

"For the past five years, Sen. George Allen (news, bio, voting record), has failed to tell Congress about stock options he got for his work as a director of a high-tech company. The Virginia Republican also asked the Army to help another business that gave him similar options.

Congressional rules require senators to disclose to the Senate all deferred compensation, such as stock options. The rules also urge senators to avoid taking any official action that could benefit them financially or appear to do so."

Now we knew how Sen. George Allen can afford to buy tons of Confederate memorabilia.

I appeal to all Republicans who cherish family values: Join Democrats and Independents and kick Republican scum like George Allen out of office.
