Islam Does Not Mean “Peace”
For those who still erroneously and disingenuously maintain that the US’s Iraq war involvement was and is the reason for the ongoing terrorist slaughters (including the myriad liberal and leftist world journalists), I’d like to again refresh your memories; by reiterating my comments from a previous column. At the very least, please make some genuine attempt to absorb them.
When the USS Cole was attacked by terrorists in Yemen, we were not in Iraq
When the first Twin Towers’ terrorists’ attack occurred, we were not in Iraq
When the Kobar Towers were bombed by the Islamo-fascists, we were not in Iraq
When the 9/11 catastrophic terrorist attacks occurred, we were not in Iraq
Why are the above realities and factual occurrences difficult for so many to grasp? Or, do they understand them, after all? Could it be that these are simply too frightening and patently unpleasant to be addressed? Is it merely more comforting to believe that they didn’t happen? Or, is it that the USA is a “safe target” (and the real Islamo-fascist menace is not) for the liberals and leftists of the world to vilify? Contrary to some popular conspiracy theories, the USA does not violently attack journalists. If it did, I daresay we’d see a complete turnaround in their ‘we hate the US’ rhetoric. They’d be too afraid to voice them.
Of course, the current real and present danger is that some of the journalists’ readers actually buy into the messages of the ‘poor-misunderstood-terrorists’ and the bad-democracy-spreading-USA’. Further, I have actually received a number of communiqués from self-proclaimed environmentalists advising me that endangered species (including the California Arroyo toad) are actually more important than the terrorists’ activities. The head in the sand phenomenon continues. I wonder what justifications will be written and spoken of by the left-elite when the first dirty bomb is exploded in-country by the misunderstood terrorists.
Strangely, conservatives don’t seem to think the terrorists ‘misunderstood’. They seem to know exactly what these beings are doing. In fact, conservatives actually heard the message of a Muslim cleric (and those like him) calling himself Abu Osama who preached to his followers—in London—of the London bombing attacks: “The London bombings were about striking terror into the heart of the enemy.” The enemy, this time England, is the same country that gave political asylum to those Muslims fleeing their own oppressive countries and societies. Many of these same refugees, including one of the recent terrorist bombers, have also been placed on the British dole; the same dole that apparently paid for the weapons used in the recent London attacks. But, then again, maybe I shouldn’t be too harsh with the terrorists. Perhaps, I should adopt the more neo-lib’s attitude (not to be confused with the traditional liberal) of acknowledging that these terrorist activities are only a cultural difference between the two societies. Maybe, it’s just the Islamo-fascist’s way of reaching out to those who helped them to escape repressive societies (by providing them refuge), enjoy free-speech and assisted them toward achieving freedoms they had not previously known. Maybe, after all is said and done, it’s just the terrorists’ way of saying “thank you” to their benefactors!
