The implosion of the Right (how Republicans and Conservatives are letting me down)
And a lot of conservative talk show hosts are going right along with it. Bush spends money like a stoned democrat, but we hear precious little condemnation from the right about this. In my opinion Bush is right on 85 to 95 percent of the issues, but he hardly ever stands up for himself when he is (letting news reports--like a recent one which proved conclusively that there were WMD in Iraq--go almost unnoticed, and taking the flak without a fight), and conservative pundits rarely call him on it!
Gah! It frustrates me to no end! And I hate how all we care about in this country is the ridiculous babies of celebrity sham marriages and trite reality TV where we can watch fat people on islands, or see twisted families trade wives and mothers for a week. Or how we allow rap music to play over the loudspeakers at school and then expel a student for bringing his Bible to class. And then we ambivalently let kids walk school hallways with Nazi emblems, skulls, and tortured bodies on their disgusting T-shirts that they got from Hot Topic, while we ruthlessly tear down monuments of 10 laws that teach people how to be DECENT HUMAN BEINGS!
And then we wonder why we have 15 year olds shooting their principals to death(!!!) or cussing out their teachers. We turn on our TVs at night and see sex, violence, and profanity in their most degrading forms, and yet we still ask ourselves how come our teenagers are turning into felons, rapists, and murderers. You idiots!! You have eyes but you do not see; ears but you do not hear!
We strip the power from the Christian pulpit (or use it as a political machine), court-marshal our army chaplains for praying in God's name, and prevent students from using the name of "God" in their graduation speeches. And then we turn around and say to the Muslim mosque down the street--'don't worry, you're in a land of religious freedom; keep preaching your sordid message of hate and destruction; we don't mind. We don't care.' We don't care. That is, we don't care until our cities get bombed and our people die. We don't give a darn about immigration until our job is given to some illegal Mexican import one block over.
And it infuriates me that we can let a Christian man in the Middle East be imprisoned and sentenced to death just because he converted from Islam, and then--as a nation--hold up our pretty little certificate that says we grant asylum to the second most people in the world. And the charitable nation we are behind? France. Hahaha, isn't that just rich! Second-only to the french. Gah! I can't take it anymore; this political garbage; this...political correctness. It's nothing but political bull; a mockery of the men and woman who died to make this a free and prosperous nation; who might have well have signed their name to the constitution in blood as in ink. Where are they buried, today--those honorable patrons of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? The creators of the true American dream? By our very actions we spit upon their graves and desecrate their legacy.
I'm sick and tired of growing up in a nation where we have everything we could ever want, and yet so few are actually thankful, and even less understand what it all cost our forefathers. I say Abraham Lincoln didn't sacrifice his honor, his reputation and his very life in order that we could simply have the ability to print a million tabloids and worship movie stars and pop cultural icons till our very souls are destroyed by all the ignorance and sacrilege.
It is in times like these that I am thankful for the few out there that actually speak the truth. The talk show hosts like Michael Savage and (even more importantly) the Pastors and evangelists who are crying out in the wilderness and speaking the truth. Not just talking heads or sheep pushing the popular right or left-wing garbage, but REAL Americans who are actually willing to say Dude, where's my country? and then go beyond that. The question isn't rhetorical; it bears answering, because pretty soon we're ALL going to be wondering where our country is; but then it's going to be too late. When we're overrun with Mexicans and Muslims and terrorists and fascists...THEN America will realize the trouble it's in. And then it'll be too late. Then everyone'll try to blame the incumbent administration, regardless of party, and they'll cry "how could you let this happen?!?"
Stupid people; you brought it on yourselves!!
