You could easily shear a good five years off your looks just by undoing the unconscious, yet blatant habits the expose your real age.



Age Reversal Tip 1: Stand up straight.



Standing up straight improves your breathing pattern and increases your focus level. Also, as you lengthen your spine to stand upright, you extend, strengthen and flatter your abdominals. This effect gives you a svelte, youthful, and mentally sharp look.

Subconsciously with age, it’s easy to think that we know it all or have at least seen it all. So, we can loose that chipper yet curious glimmer in our eyes.



Take a quick look in the mirror right now. Look at your eyes. Do you see a sparkle?



If not, while still looking into the mirror, slightly raise your eyebrows. (Try not to create furrows in your forehead it could cause wrinkles.) Now smile. This is what a twinkle in the eye looks like.

To counteract this vocal decadence, record your own voice. Then listen to your voice for thirty minutes. How old do you sound? How could you make this voice sound more fun, upbeat and energetic?



Perhaps you could speak softer, smile more when speaking or just add a few more cups of honey-lemon-water to your diet to help take the squeakiness out of your voice.



Age Reversal Tip 4. Whiten your teeth



Whiter teeth not only make your smile more attractive, but they may also prevent tooth decay and gum damage.



To gently blanch your teeth, create a two tablespoon solution of one part water and one part three-percent hydrogen peroxide. Gargle with the solution for 45 seconds and rinse. Floss your teeth.



Then, follow with a zesty brushing with pure backing soda. Finally, rinse and smile. The whole experience leaves your mouth flashingly fresh.



In short, why limit yourself to just four instant age reducers? Talk with your co-workers and friends and ask them to objectively point out a flagrant habit that gives away your age. Don’t worry, you can return the favor. Just remember, habits must be used daily to have any therapeutic effect. Happy age-defying.
