Iran's Supreme Leader: Pope's Remarks Part Of An Anti-Muslim Conspiracy

Robert Paul Reyes
Iran's supreme religoius leader Ali Khamenei said the pope's controversial remarks on Islam and jihad were the latest "links in the chain" of an American-Israeli conspiracy aimed at creating conflict between religions.

"The issue of insulting cartoons and remarks of some politicians about Islam are different links in the conspiracy of the crusaders and the pope's remarks are the latest links in this," he elaborated.

The pope's comments and the Danish cartoons are not a conspiracy to defame Islam, it's called "freedom of speech." That's an alien concept to mullahs who don't extend any freedoms to their hapless subjects.

Of course there is no religious conflict in Iran because Islam is the only religion that is allowed to flourish. If you are a Christian or a Jew in Iran you would be well advised to keep a very low profile.

Did the Americans and Israelis incite the peace-loving Muslims to burn churches, kill a nun and threaten to kill the pope? Was this also an American-Israeli conspiracy to paint Muslims as bloodthirsty fascists?

Maybe if Muslims lived in democratic societies they would write letters to the editor instead of killing infidels every time their tender sensibilities are offended.

Muslim leaders are always quick to blame American conspiracies for the many ills that beset their societies, instead of examining how devotion to Sharia law stifles the imagination and enslaves their citizens.

I think Ali Khamenei is an intolerant fascist, and I wasn't paid by the CIA to share my views.
