Healing Priest to visit Cagayan de Oro on March 15

When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. (Luke 4:40)

The renowned healing priest Rev. Fr. Fernando Suarez, C.C. will be visiting Cagayan de Oro City on March 15, 2010 and has called out to all residents who wish to be healed to join the Healing Mass scheduled for the same day at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Carmen.

Lourdes Ll. Pimentel, wife of Sen. Aquilino Q. Pimentel, Jr., who is organizing Fr. Suarez´s visit to Cagayan de Oro, thanked Archbishop Antonio J. Ledesma, S.J. for granting "Fr. Edo" (as he is fondly called) permission to celebrate the Healing Mass for the benefit of the local residents.

"I do pray that the healing will extend to all parts of our city so that, we will again receive the grace of peace, love and knowledge that in believing in God´s power we will regain Cagayan de Oro politically back to Christ," Pimentel said in her letter thanking Ledesma for granting permission for the healing mass to be conducted in the city.

Former Vice Mayor Guillermo Parrel, who is coordinating Fr. Edo´s visit to the city with Couples for Christ (CFC) and other church-related organizations, said Fr. Suarez first discovered his gift of healing in 1983 when he was 16 when he made a lame elderly woman walk again.

"He has found his calling when he joined the Companions of the Cross in 1997 and was ordained a priest in 2002," Parrel said. The CC is a religious community of priests and seminarians who granted Fr. Suarez permission to conduct healing missions whenever he is needed anywhere in the globe.
