Motorola Droid Phone at a Glance: A Look at What You Are Missing
The Droid does not look like your regular phones, to begin with. Its appearance is rather odd, but there lies part of its beauty. Unlike most smartphone models these days, which sport smooth curves and ergonomic lines, the Droid is more on the sharp and angular side. The materials used are a combination of plastic and metal, which gives it the relatively heavy weight. To balance this out, however, it uses soft touch for its buttons and keypad, and gold highlights, especially at the back.
Basically, the phone consists of a couple of major components: 1) the glass display on the top, and the keyboard beneath it. The screen measures 3.7 square inches, almost bleeding to the edge. When you the screen part, a QWERTY keypad underneath it is revealed. This is where it gets functional, although the keys may have been placed too close to each other.
Other accessories that the phone has—and that make us want a free Droid phone even more—are the standard headphone jack, a MicroUSB port, a 5-megapixel camera with flash, and a speaker at the back in gold screen. All these features are of course packed in 13.7-milimeter thick package.
