How Long is too Long?

Earl J. Prignitz
When George W. Bush spoke to the American people on 9/11/2006 and said, "America did not ask for this war, and every American wishes it were over. So do I. But the war is not over — and it will not be over until either we or the extremists emerge victorious. If we do not defeat these enemies now, we will leave our children to face a Middle East overrun by terrorist states and radical dictators armed with nuclear weapons. We are in a war that will set the course for this new century — and determine the destiny of millions across the world.," he was simply lying through his teeth and anyone who knows of the plans of his cabinet are aware of that.

Everyone who has ever read the PNAC document knows that the war with Iraq was planned years prior to the 9/11 attack. That SECRET blueprint for US global domination revealed that President Bush and his cabinet were planning a premeditated attack on Iraq to secure 'regime change' even before he took power in January 2001.

The blueprint spelled out in detail the creation of a 'global Pax Americana' and was drawn up for Dick Cheney (now vice- president), Donald Rumsfeld (defence secretary), Paul Wolfowitz (Rumsfeld's deputy), George W Bush's younger brother Jeb and Lewis Libby (Cheney's chief of staff). The document, entitled Rebuilding America's Defences: Strategies, Forces And Resources For A New Century, was written in September 2000 by the neo-conservative think-tank Project for the New American Century (PNAC).

The PNAC document supports a 'blueprint for maintaining global US pre-eminence, precluding the rise of a great power rival, and shaping the international security order in line with American principles and interests'.

This 'American grand strategy' must be advanced for 'as far into the future as possible', the report says. It also calls for the US to 'fight and decisively win multiple, simultaneous major theatre wars' as a 'core mission'.

The report describes American armed forces abroad as 'the cavalry on the new American frontier'. The PNAC blueprint supports an earlier document written by Wolfowitz and Libby that said the US must 'discourage advanced industrial nations from challenging our leadership or even aspiring to a larger regional or global role'.

How long will the American public continue to go along with these wild eyed extremists who are taking our country down this road to nothing but bankruptcy? That's just another one of their goals - get us so far in debt that there will not be any funds to support the humanitarian programs that have been in place for these many years. When will we decide that we have had enough that is the big question?
