Pecunix Digital Gold: Top Security and 100% Offshore (pt.1 of 3)

Mark Herpel
Pecunix digital gold currency is a fast and secure method to send or receive online payments. Pecunix is a global virtual currency. Account holders are not restricted by language, borders or expensive foreign currency conversions. The value of a customer’s account is backed by pure gold bars held in secure vaults. This physical gold is held unencumbered, free and clear and not pegged to any government issued paper or Treasury IOUs.

This ‘digital gold currency’ is actively bought and sold by third party agents known as ‘Exchange Organizations.’ Since funding of a client account is never done directly through Pecunix.com, users will transact all of their business through Pecunix Retail Exchange Organizations (PREO’s). These are independent businesses that are not affiliated with Pecunix. These agents will buy, sell or exchange Pecunix anytime for a small fee. The existence of many PREO’s ensures that there is always a competitive marketplace for Pecunix digital gold currency.

Online payment companies such as PayPal or Moneybookers which fund their own client’s accounts are typically not considered a digital currency. Since their ‘online money’ cannot be bought or sold through any third party agent, these companies are considered to be simply an ‘online payment system’ and not a ‘digital currency’. Units of value that can be bought, sold or traded through a third party agent, such as Pecunix, e-gold, GoldMoney or 1MDC are all considered to be ‘digital currency’ or ‘digital gold currency’.

Pecunix payment values are denominated in GAU (grams of fine gold). Account holders can use the on screen Currency Calculator for easy conversion from national currencies. Accounts are not pegged to any specific country currency.

Account holders can pay anyone with Pecunix as long as their e-mail address is known. They don’t even need to have a Pecunix account.

The account holders e-mail address is the actual Pecunix “account number”. To receive payments account holders simply provide their Pecunix e-mail address and they are ready to receive gold into their accounts.

Pecunix client accounts have three distinct levels of secure access. Users must login to each security level separately thus allowing complete control and security over their accounts. User’s enter different PIK’s (Private Identification Key) to access different parts of the Pecunix account. Each Level required a separate PIK. Each level provides a different type of utility for the user.

1. Read Only Access

2. Account Details Access

3. Payment Access

For all Pecunix account holders, it is important to keep your password, PIN code and PIK (Private Identification Key) access protected and private at all times. Pecunix will never ask for your password or PIN. Clients have the absolute responsibility to keep their access codes secure. The Pecunix PIK system defeats phishing hack attempts.

When first logging into a Pecunix account you will see an account summary.

Please note that GAU and OAU: are symbols given to the value of Pecunix.

GAU means Grams (G) of Gold (AU)

1 GAU = 1 Pecunix

1 Pecunix is equivalent to 1 gram of fine gold

OAU means Ounces (O) of Gold (AU)

1 OAU = 31.1034768 Pecunix

31.1034768 grams = 1 Troy Ounce

This area is known as the ‘Read Only’ area. This account summary page also displays any pending transactions that have not yet been collected by the payee. Account holders can cancel a pending transaction at any time before the payee collects the payment.

The Account Details PIK (was called Full Access PIK) protects the account so that if someone breaks in they can’t change the client details or other settings, and thus can’t steal your account. However, when logged in you can only use the Account Details PIK to get to your account details. That PIK will not allow you access to the account payment area. The Account Details PIK should be used to set or reset account details and settings. Its best if this PIK is written down in a safe place. It is not used everyday.

The Payment PIK (was called Limited Access Pik) is used to access the payment area and of course make outgoing gold payments. Account holders will use this key often in the daily operation of an account. It also allows access to the Merchant tools. You cannot make a payment from the account without this ‘Payment PIK’ so don’t lose it. The Pecunix login is so effective, no account has ever been compromised by a phishing attack.

These multiple levels of security and utility are built in to all Pecunix accounts. This package is considered the best online security measures of all digital currencies. In order to make a payment, the account holder will need to leave the lower level (’Read Only’) and gain access to a higher level (’Payment Access’) This move requires the ‘Payment PIK’. Although this PIK is a full 16-character code, the Pecunix software will only ask you to use 4 of the account numbers.
