It's Not The Groupies' fault

Judy Ramsook
Most men have been blaming women for their actions since time began, it seems.

For instance, how many times have we heard people say that in Biblical times, it was Eve who tempted Adam to eat the forbidden fruit?

After that and in real life situations, some modern men still blamed women for their actions. If said men were say, unfaithful to their spouses, it was another woman´s fault. And it´s not uncommon to hear things like: ´…she came on to me…´ or ´ she wouldn´t leave me alone…´

To me and people who know better, the above seem like poor excuses for some men not to take responsibility for their actions. So what? Just because someone makes sexual advances to you does it mean you have to follow through with such advances?

And in light of the Tiger Woods incident, some men in his defense are saying things like: …´those women were like groupies who would not leave Tiger Woods alone…´

Groupies or not, it seems to me that people will do what they want to do regardless of whom they are trying to blame for their actions.

Maybe some people need to take responsibility for the things they do instead of coming up with a person they can pin the blame on.

Or a disorder like Sex Addiction or being Insecure. And if someone is insecure isn´t he/she suffering from things such as: low self esteem and low confidence levels?

So, if someone is insecure, where is he/she getting the confidence it takes to hit on someone anyway?

Maybe I am just tired of hearing people blame others or disorders for their actions. But we all know that unless someone is holding a weapon to your head, no one, I don´t care who it is, can make you do anything you don´t want to do.

So if someone makes sexual advances to you and you want to act on it, you are doing so because you want to. Take responsibility and stop blaming it all on groupies and other forms of temptations.

Pretty girls don´t need plenty make up

Yours truly
