Dog Training 101
When one such entrepreneur was asked about the hardest decision he ever had to make, he answered that he didnīt know what a hard decision was. An entrepreneur will approach decision-making with the idea that thereīs a strong likelihood that he/she will be wrong. This doesnīt dissuade them to the contrary they just do the best they can and worry about handling obstacles as they arise.
Here's a few entrepreneurs:
This Business is unique in many ways. First, we provide a" non-kennel setting" and we live on site. The dogs all become members of each month's Bootcamp and live and work as a unit while here. This allows me to tap into the dog's natural desire to work with the pack and assume a submissive state of mind realizing that I am their leader and they work for me. Most trainers use a kennel where the dog lives in a dog run except for 30 - 40 minutes when he is taken into the training room and worked. At DOGGY BOOTCAMP, we handle the dogs in a manner that allows me to work on specific problems, manners and all around handling of the dog. The dog goes home realizing that he works for the owner, that they are his leader, To calm down , pay attention and to ignore distraction.
Next I focus on Teaching the owner how to establish and maintain that leadership role. I teach the owner and dog several exercises to mimic "life at home" situations so the dog learns to respond appropriately. I also teach the owner to be a calm and assertive leader. This builds a relationship based on respect and co-operation. We offer a Lifetime Guarantee and as many followup lessons that the owner needs.

Happy Dog Happy Owner is a San Diego based company dedicated to helping dog owners develop successful relationships with their pets. Obedience training and behavior modification are used to create a well-mannered, attentive dog that is responsive to your cues. We use positive reinforcement training techniques, enabling the training experience to be both productive and fun.
Lara Schindler is the founder of Happy Dog Happy Owner. She has always had a love for dogs and an interest in dog behavior and training. Lara has 11 years experience implementing training programs and providing hand-on training in the software industry. During a stressful time, Lara realized that she wanted dogs to play a more prominent role in her life, as they always brought her joy and happiness. It was this realization that motivated her to combine her love for training and her love for dogs and become a dog trainer.

After working in one of San Diego's major kennels I realized that I wanted to train dogs with a more positive and less aversive method than the old-school trainers used in the Kennels. No choke chain, or shock collars for example. I also realized that when we trained a client's dog to sit, down, stay, heel, etc in the sterile environment of a kennel, it usually didn't really hold when the clients left and went back to the 'real world' which is filled with loud noises, other dogs, people, children, bikes, skateboards, aromatic cafes filled with all of the above. I wanted to train dogs in a realistic environment and involve the owners (who often need quite a bit of training themselves) in the process at the end of each lesson. This 15 minutes with owner and dog at the end of each 2 hour lesson allows me to keep them informed of the progress of the dog and allows them to 'pick my brain' with any issues that occur away from me or even just get advice on food brands, toys and veterinarians that I recommend.
I also pride myself on working with clients until ALL of their issues are dealt with and goals are achieved. My 20 hour training package (the most poplular) often lasts more like 22-25 hours with an in-home and/or dog park visit included without any additional charge. I am a proud member of the Better Business Bureau with zero complaints. All of my students graduate! I truly love all of my clients (and their owners too:))
