Is Shake Weight a Scam or Does It Really Work?
However, suggestive infomercial aside, what is the true nature of this product? Is the Shake Weight a scam or does it really work?
The Shake Weight works when you take it in one hand or two and shake it rigorously in various positions to train your upper body muscles. This is supposed to help you train better than regular weight lifting using a principle called Dynamic Inertia which I believe was coined specifically for this product.
There are some claims about this product which make me uneasy. I donīt like to say that Shake Weight is a scam since that may be too harsh but there are some things I wish were clarified:
There is supposed to be a scientific study that shows that Shake Weight is more effective than regular training. However, there is no reference to this study on the official website that I could find. What have they got to hide?
I doubt that using this machine can really work your entire body effectively in 6 minutes a day
In the infomercial for the womenīs product it says that this product helps to get long, lean muscles instead of big and bulky ones, just like women want. In the menīs product, it says that it can help men get big muscles. This seems like a contradiction.
All in all, I think that regular weight training is probably still going to be the best way to get lean, burn muscles, and improve fitness.
