My Journalistic Review Of Nostalgia For The Nintendo DS

Judy Ramsook
If you are looking for an RPG with stunning graphics, no voice acting, real world locations such as: London, New York, Tokyo, Cairo and more, you will find it all here in Nostalgia for the Nintendo DS.

Although it´s no Final Fantasy epic, (I completed the main story in just 48 hours) it does bring back not too distant memories of some old school RPG elements.

Elements such as: no use of the Nintendo DS stylus, levelling up your heroes, skill points to enhance your heroes´ fighting/magical abilities, random battles in the air and in the dungeons, dungeons to explore, important items to find in said dungeons, boss monsters to defeat, weapon/armour upgrades, other rebels you meet along the way who join your party and even a bit of an underworld spot that reminded me of the underworld in the SNES FF II, GBA FF IV Advance, and Nintendo DS FF IV DS.

What you might miss a little like I did, was no hoofing it in the overworld. For your mode of transportation in Nostalgia for the Nintendo DS is an airship known as the Maverick. Later on, if you stick with it, you get the Maverick II.

But if you like RPGs, I say give Nostalgia for the Nintendo DS a try. Come and help Eddie, the game´s hero go in search of his missing father, Gilbert Brown.

For what it´s worth, I enjoyed playing Nostalgia for the Nintendo DS. It´s fun, entertaining, and if you are a lover of all things Geography, I think you will like Nostalgia.

Come and visit real locations like: The Tower of Babel, Delhi, Capetown, The Pyramids of Egypt and other places. For after you finish the main story, there is still a lot to do and find in Nostalgia for the Nintendo DS.
