Republican Politicians See Minorities As Macacas And Little People

Robert Paul Reyes
Most Republicans are in favor of immigration reform that would criminalize undocumented workers. Republicans running for office stress their anti-immigration views at every stump speech.

When a Republican candidate tells a crowd he is in favor of tough immigration laws, it’s code for “America is a white country, and if elected I will keep minorities in their place.”

Of Course, Republicans take great pains to explain that they are not racist, they merely want to protect America’s border.

Yeah, right. Then why is it that Republicans seeking to demonstrate that they want to protect our borders use the Mexican border as a backdrop? Most intelligence experts agree that the greater danger is from our border with Canada. Al Qaeda and other terrorist cells are well entrenched in Canadian society.

Fortunately, the truth always comes out and some prominent Republicans have been exposed as racists.

From the Associated Press:

Sen. Conrad Burns, a Montana Republican, called his house painter a “nice little Guatemalan man” during a June speech. Burns, whose re-election campaign is pressing for tighter immigration controls, also suggested that the man might be an illegal immigrant. It turns out the worker is legal.”

Unfortunately, in the eyes of too many Republicans, Hispanics are nothing but little people suited only for painting houses, washing cars, cleaning laundry, waxing floors and mowing lawns.

Then there’s Republican Sen. Allen who during a campaign stop pointed to S. R. Sidarth, a videographer of Indian descent, who was working for his Democratic challenger, James Webb and said:

Macaca, or whatever his name is should show Webb the footage as evidence of a candidate that actually gets out to speak with real Virginians. Welcome to America and the real world of Virginia.”

Macaca” is a genus of monkey, a terrible thing to call any human being, let alone a highly intelligent political operative who is attending a prestigious university.

Republicans don’t fool me with their talk of racial equality, this “little person”, this Hispanic is going to vote Green Party, Democratic Party — anything but Republican this November.
