NY Blues Dynamo, Kathy Leonardo Set to Perform November 18th At Boys & Girls Club of Venice Benefit

Don´t miss it…Wednesday November 18th, 7:30 pm at Dannys Venice Beach Bistro & Bar. (23 Windward Ave.) Singer/Songwriter Kathy Leonardo, will be singing her own original sassy Blues and Jazz. At this special free performance, Kathy will be donating 50% of all CD sales to the Boys & Girls Club of Venice, who will be on hand at Dannys to give out info about this local non profit.

Leonardo has invited Vinnie Caggiano jazz guitarist extraordinaire to kick off the show as well as to sit in with her as she plays her rousing two sets of blues and jazz standards.

Strong Woman Blues is what Kathy Leonardo calls her original blues numbers. There is definitely no "woe is me" attitude with this woman. In times like these, Leonardo´s music is thriving. "People need to get out and play, says Kathy. I try to work at venues where there is no cover charge so friends can come enjoy themselves, hear some upbeat music and meet new people.

At this special performance, in addition to her original music, Kathy will be singing jazz standards such as Stormy Weather, My funny Valentine, and many more…maybe even some Janis Joplin covers. Leonardo is quite the versatile performer. You never know what to expect. Her voice can do just about anything and her music will take you anywhere you are willing to go. So, sit back and enjoy the ride.

Vinnie Caggiano also from NY is quite the brilliant guitarist. In addition to performing with Leonardo, he will also do his own set using a technique called "looping", which creates a beautiful multi-textural robust sound.
