MVP Gotham - Los Angeles Dodgers interested in Luis Castillo

NEW YORK, NY --- According to various reports, the Los Angeles Dodgers have contacted the New York Mets about what it will take to acquire 2nd basemen Luis Castillo.

Castillo is set to make $12 mm over the next two seasons and it would definitely help the organization to get rid of his contract.

It could also be a blessing in disguise

as the Mets are interested in free agent Orlando Hudson whom they chased last year in the offseason and they would also be interested in Cincinatti Reds 2nd basemen Brandon Phillips if the Reds were to make him available. If so, the Mets might have to take either Aaron Harang or Bronson Arroyo off the Reds hands in order to make a deal to acquire Phillips.
