Chandraīs First Album "Dream, - When fantasy turns to reality.

We all are dreamer but how many of we can dare to make it happen? We need firm and rigid perseverance to make our dream come true if it is something exceptional. But there is someone who likes to do something exceptional and say why not? In the same row of dreamer is singer, song writer and composer Mr. Chandra B. Maharjan, who dreams to be a singer, thatīs why even at the age of 12, he was a band member of " Music Lover Boys" and sang popular Nepali song "chalechha batas sustari "(चलेछ बतास सुस्तरी)" one of the hit song of the yester years. Since then he never turned back to achieve his dream as a singer so he sang Bhajans to modern Songs in different events and celebration.
Later years he formed a band "Moon light" of which he was a lead singer, the band performed at local concert, school and college shows in Nepal. Chandraīs first self composed song is " Maya ko Mayalu"-( मायाको मायालु) which was dedicated to his girl friend Laxmi who later became his wife and they are now living happily in South San Francisco, California USA. The song became popular which encouraged him to carry out his journey of song writing and singing. But as an obedient son he has to fulfill his parents dream.
As it is well said, "Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe." Gail Devers. His dream is impending true after passing many years, not only in the musical journey but also fulfilling his parents dream. He pursues his career in Mechanical Engineering from San Francisco State University, California and working as a chief Engineer for ABM/Genentech. INC.
By profession he is an Engineer but that is not enough for his introduction, he is a multitalented and hardworking Man who is actively engaged in Musical and Social journey and has a great heart to support underprivileged children in Nepal. As a social worker he is a vice President of SEWA which is a nonprofit social organization in Nepal. He feels so lucky to find a way to help childrenīs in Nepal with their basic needs such as School fees, stationeries and clothing. But Music was his passion and that was deep rooted on him, so he could not detach himself from composing songs even in his demanding schedule.
Chandra says, "This is one of the best tools to relax and relieve stress". He loves and enjoys music and continuing learning instruments and voice lessons. He has already performed in Nepalese festivals in California Bay Area such as Nepal Shanjh in San Francisco and Heifer International in Healdsburg. He is active in the Nepali film industry and has appeared in the recent movie "Kathmandu" and his is also a co-producer of forthcoming movie "Sun Rise".
Chandraīs dream came into reality when he revisited to Nepal in 2009 to complete the recording of his first CD album "Dream". The album includes a compilation of Chandraīs unique, life experience songs with Nepali flavor. He is working on music video to release soon and launching his first album on a private cruise in San Francisco Bay Area on December 19th, 2009 at Pier 41 San Francisco
He is so excited and pleased to invite all his friends, families and well wishers and music lovers to unique and first time in the history of Nepalese Event "Cruise Night" with DJ and Live Music, and his dream project a premiere show of his first Album "Dream". Letīs join with him to see his dream come true with unique, exciting and relaxing environment.
He expressed how the idea conceived in his mind, letīs hear from him, "Once upon late evening, I was taking off from work, little tired and looking for the place to relax. Then, I drove through Embarcadero Street towards Pier 39. I was enjoying spectacular views of San Francisco Bay, stopped by the restaurant to have some bite to eat, waiting for my order, writing a song about sunset in glowing evening, looking around the beautiful bay then I thought, what better way could there be possibly to take in the sights of San Francisco, sitting back and soaking up the beauty on a San Francisco Bay Cruise. I became excited, suddenly got out on the spacious deck of the restaurant and enjoyed the view for a while! I was dazzled by the sights and the peace that I found when I casted off from the dock of the bay. I couldnīt stopped thinking of sailing under the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge and enjoy the festive lights adorning the Bay Bridge at night, views of the SF skyline, and get an up close view of the "The Rock" the infamous former Alcatraz Prison".
He furthers says about his dream, " I dreamed to Cruise the San Francisco Bay with all my friends and family on the special event of my Album Premiere Show, have delicious Nepali dinner buffet, swing and dance with live music and have talented DJ entertain all of us as we cruise into SF Bay. No experience can beat the feelings of freedom when we get together with friends and family to feel the wind in our hair while revealing in the beauty of San Francisco Bay".
No matter what is his dream but we can have a lifetime experience to be there a very special event with our acquaintance where we will be carried out with pleasant Bay views, magnificent views of Golden Gate, Bay Bridge and relaxing sunset in the west Which could be a great reward for ourselves to escape from all the hard work and monotonous life. We know the dream will be best realized when we are in a state of fantasy. When we donīt know the difference between reality and fantasy, but when fantasy turns to reality we will be lived thousands of years in a moment.
