Northeast Louisiana Ham Festival Slated for Spring 2010

Daniel Taverne
Looking for something to do this Spring? How about attending a hamfest?

The Northeast Louisiana Regional Ham Radio Festival in Monroe, Louisiana is scheduled for 8:00am Saturday, April 24, 2010. This is an annual ARRL affiliated, Louisiana section convention to convene at the Barak Shrine Temple just off of Interstate 20, located just southeast of the city.

HamfestS are a great opportunity for anyone interested in, or curious about, the ham/amateur radio hobby. Additionally, new visitors get a chance to learn first hand what great people make up the ham radio community.

For current hams, this is the perfect chance to get reacquainted with distant ham friends, and many hams get the chance to finally put faces to familiar voices they´ve communicated with over the years.

All are invited to come enjoy food, beverages, fellowship, door prizes, commercial vendors, forums, and much more. For address, directions and other information regarding this festival, you can e-mail Carlos Ingram at KA5JNL@arrl.net.
