Located in Florida, Hillsborough Community College has many programs which allow individuals to transfer to a four year institution or get a job fully equipped and skilled. Upon enrolling in the school students select their major and are immediately matched with an advisor that assists them in developing the program that will help them to meet their goal quickly.
The Associate of Science degrees offered at the college are designed to prepare students for four-year college or employment. Associate of Applied Science degrees which will prepare an individual for the work force in a short amount of time. However, with the Associate of Arts degree an individual is also prepared for further education at a four-year institution, and a workforce training program.
With over 40 years of experience, Hillsborough Community College has one of the largest student populations in Florida. Through a variety of education service plans, students can choose from on-campus classes, online coursework, or extension programs that are taught at a variety of locations.
The home of the Hawks, Hillsborough Community College has six campuses that also provide extra-curricular activities in a variety of fields including football, baseball, basketball, drama, art, journalism, and leadership programs. Students not only enjoy inter-collegiate competition, but also are encouraged to participate in leadership roles in each program that is offered. These programs are intended to bring the entire student body together and create a close feeling of community for students from both the main campus and the satellite campuses.

Not only can residents choose their own room, but they can also room with whomever they wish.

These programs give individuals wishing to become certified in specific programming languages the education that they need to participate and succeed in the examinations that are required for certification. In addition, the students earn credits toward their degree.
