The First Time In Sixty Years. The Health Care Vote has Arrived. Contact Your Senators!
It would not be a problem if we had millions of back-yard and roof top gardens, created and maintained by millions of local friends and neighbors, and the vegetables shared among those same friends and neighbors; but we do have a problem in that millions of us do not have gardens and we depend directly on government money. Money is a term for the government power coupons accumulated and generated by industrialization,(often polluting industrialization) and as working poor struggling to survive within the concept of buying and selling our goods and services, we seldom receive large amounts of money. We seldom have anything to sell but our own physical labor and because the power of government money is controlled by the banks and the industrial executives who control the banks, we working poor are under the power of the elites.
Money is power and in this case, the health insurance business elites want us to maintain their power. The health insurance industry is basically forcing the poor to work for them. A Universal Health Care system, or something close containing a public option, would give everybody, rich and poor, the equal opportunity to receive important life saving health care when they need it most. Health care is a human right and must no longer be a commodity bought and sold on the private business market. Thank you for reading!

Subject: Urgent: House vote soon
Joseph --
The House's first full vote on health reform legislation may come as early as this week. It'll be the first time in more than 60 years that the full body votes on comprehensive reform, and we expect it to be very close.
But with just a few days before the vote, the insurance industry and their allies are putting extraordinary pressure on every representative to defeat it. We know that their expensive lobbyists will be dashing to each congressional office, attempting to twist arms. The only question is whether the phones will be ringing off the hook with constituents supporting reform while that happens.
Can you call your representative right now and tell them to vote in favor of real health insurance reform? Then, click here to report your call. We need reports from every State in the Union.
Please call: Rep. Brad Ellsworth at 202-225-4636
(Not your representative? Click here to look yours up.)
The House bill incorporates the best ideas from Democrats and Republicans to guarantee security and stability for those with insurance, provide affordable options for those without -- including the choice of a public insurance option -- and reduce costs for families and small businesses, all while decreasing the deficit.
Many representatives are standing with the President and fighting hard for reform. They need to know that they have our thanks and our support.
And we need to remind the rest of Congress that Americans need them to rise above partisan divides and stand up to the special interests. Please call:
