Wyoming Man to Advise Nation on Student Financial Aid Practices
U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., recommended Gruen to Senator McConnell for the Advisory Committee.
"Dave has the experience working with and in rural states and he can use that expertise on a national level as financial aid issues are discussed. His past 37 years of financial aid experience are impressive and I look forward to working with him to ensure students have access to financial resources to higher education," said Enzi, Ranking Member of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.
For the past six years Gruen has served as Director of Financial Aid at the University of Wyoming. He is on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. He has also served as the president of the Rocky Mountain and Wyoming Associations of Student Financial Aid Administrators. Before moving to Wyoming, he served as Director of Student Financial Services at Denver University, Director of Student Financial Aid at the University of Tulsa, and at Alfred University in New York and Southeastern Community College in North Carolina.
