A single-dose nasal spray, a book of games that build your infant´s brainpower, a non-contact thermometer and a parent-friendly Internet-filtering program are among the innovative new products that have just won the PTPA seal of approval from North America´s parents.

Consumers looking for practical, high-quality products and services can rest easy knowing that products bearing the PTPA Media "Winner" Seal are all "Parent Tested, Parent Approved."

Because independent parents evaluate these products in their own homes, PTPA winners are chosen based on merit and consumer experience – not on commercial considerations. As a result, the PTPA Seal is quickly gaining recognition as an international leader in certifying consumer products for quality, effectiveness and value.

"As a working single mother, I go to PTPA for unbiased and ´safe´ advice...from parents, not marketers pushing a particular product," says actress and author Josie Bissett, former star of Melrose Place and now a mother of two school-age children. "PTPA makes it much easier to find products that enrich my children´s lives. Who better to trust than other parents who have done their homework?"

Companies ranging from Disney and Knowledge Adventure to Wells Fargo and Cisco all submit their products for testing by PTPA´s network of over 20,000 volunteer product testers. Only those that receive high marks from PTPA´s unbiased, knowledgeable testers are awarded the PTPA Seal of Approval.

Here are just a few of the innovative new products to receive the PTPA Winner Seal for the 2009 holiday season:

Baby Smarts: A simulating book filled with developmental games for building your baby´s brain power, one activity at a time!

Cleanoz Single Use Saline Nasal Spray: a hygienic, easy-to-use sterile applicator for clearing a child´s nasal passages while avoiding dangerous germs;

Kerpoof Studio- Disney´s free Kerpoof Studio provides web-based drawing and multimedia software, with no advertising or hidden costs.

Kids-Med Thermofocus 5-in-1 Non Contact Thermometer: A trauma-free thermometer that has no contact with the skin. Clinically proven to be as accurate as a rectal or ear thermometer, it measures the temperature of a forehead with the click of a button.

Parrot Zikmu by Philippe Starck - The speakers are timeless pieces of art which wirelessly stream audio tracks thanks to its dedicated iPod® / iPhone™ docking station and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® technologies.

"At PTPA Media, we are proud to play a role in certifying innovative new products that parents can trust," says Sharon Vinderine, president and founder of PTPA Media. "It´s win-win. By improving communication between manufacturers and consumers, we are helping companies serve their market better, and helping families identify products that have been tested and recommended by their peers."

Sharon Vinderine

Sharon Vinderine is a former high tech entrepreneur who has taken her skills as a savvy business woman and combined them with the insight gained from becoming a mother of two young children. Her passion to find only the best products to use in her own home inspired the creation of PTPA Media, a parent-centric site that empowers families to make the best purchasing decisions when shopping for products to bring into their own homes.

PTPA Media -- which stands for Parent Tested, Parent Approved -- began in 2007 as a means to discover, appraise and promote new products designed to enrich family living. Under Vinderine's direction, the company has gained notoriety in only a short time due to their large following of new as well as seasoned parents both in the United States and in Canada. Vinderine has been featured on shows on Fox, ABC, NBC and on National morning shows across Canada.

Prior to the formation of PTPA Media, Vinderine was already serving as head of her own private company, Small Made Simple, Inc. that focuses on the creation and distribution of baby products including the award- winning Kangaroo Towel TM. Created to simplify bath time with her own small children, the Kangaroo TowelTM and its unique pouch was designed to keep mom and dad dry while providing a warm, comfy spot for baby during those wet and messy transitions from bath to changing table. Since its launch in Canada, the Kangaroo Towel has been featured in many Canadian and US television shows and magazines.

Before venturing into this world of baby products, Vinderine was responsible for the growth of Primus Canada's newly acquired Wireless Division as Director of Business Development for Primus Canada. Her vast experience in the wireless industry came from her many years laying the foundation for MIPPS, Inc. one of the first wireless Internet companies in Canada which Vinderine started and was named one of "Canada's Hottest Startups" by Profit magazine.

Originally from Canada, Vinderine pursued her education at York University and continues leading her two successful companies - PTPA Media and Small Made Simple - from Toronto, Canada where she resides with her family.
