Surinsar is settled in rural most realty of Jammu and Kashmir. It has many sorts of roots to accomplish the desirable destination. Full of awe hopeful mountains and having a Brobdingnagian possibleness of business here, the narrowing agency snaked its artifact finished towering slopes, throwing up large clouds of dust. It passed by lowercase hamlets, popularly known as Bajlata, Anthem, comprising a pair of houses shapely around pagoda-shaped mosques and box-like temples with sloping roofs prefabricated of corrugated shackle Surinsar is famous for tralatitious communal harmony and a beautiful lake

Owing to the dedication and shared discernment of the Hindu Islamic secular acquisition the wicked designs has been wiped and topical inhabitants pleased their tending towards their peasantry work. The grouping employed and inhibiting without some semi political mileage. The digit communities move to springy unitedly in the aforementioned towns and villages in qualifying peace, beside the independent tendencies of wicked designs current here.

The area is flooded of meadows popularly famous as deep surinsar lake and Narsingh Temple. the area is mountainous, it has many sort of trekking routes which transfer finished places with unlikely enthralling scenic beauty like of Manasar Lake. The locate is an easy humble for trekkers and mountaineers, on their artefact to the Great chain. By road, charabanc services from Jammu enter Surinsar. Tiny patches of cereal and mustard, same puff quilts, straddled the bounds of the course that hurried downbound. Weather-beaten Bakkarwal men, with their hennaed beards and generally harm turbans, led flocks of comal elevation goats move to Warwan Mountains in Kishtwar. Their children and womenfolk followed after them, dynamical slipper flooded with pots, pans and substance their ambulatory homes.

The amend represent of serenity. The form of the land is rugged and mountainous surrounded by the sprawling mountains. These are named as great Himalayas. Besides there are other lofty ridges and peaks. It was a Friday little afternoon, we arrived at Surinsar and entered a tea shop whose amiable owned rustled to us a spontaneous meal. We shared a single table with a local Gujjer "Ch. Liaqat Ali" of the same village, who own half dozen of buffalo´s. In response to our query about hindu-muslim relations, he told "During the turmoil in every nook and corner of the state, our area witnessed calm" "We live here in peace" he shouted in hushed tone. After we finally retired the office of the local sarpench namely Subash Singh who hosted us tea and expressed his tooth of tale. "The area is being neglected in all fronts" he angarily expressed his resentment towards the administration. He told he has been in the local goverenence since four years but never saw any scheme implemented here. He lamented he told us… "The Surinsar Mansar Development Authority" (SMDA) and wild life department are functioning in papers when we referred our query about the management and maintenance of Surinsar Lake"

The overview of Surinsar lake becomes more charming when seen from the hillock top connected with a road to the Ashram of a presently living Saint. He is revered by the locals and people visit even from abroad.

Situated at a distance of 29 Kms from Jammu, one reaches within 40 minutes. The nearest Railway station is Sangar at a distance of 8 Kms

The Sarpench turned towards the rough road and poor health facilities. With regard to health sector we have been told that the area is having a single Ayervadic dispensary that was established in 1947. The area has been neglected and the government is turning nelson´s eye towards the areas under the pretext of so called developmental initiatives, local residents who joined after us added. What was striking was the old age harmony between the varying communities there.

Later we had a visit to nearby Narsingh temple, which is a century old and its period. W have been told that saints like Bab Ram Ji Dass followed by Rameshwar Maharaj took up the task of repairing the temple. Later on, about one hundred years ago, Rukmani Dass popularly known as Baba Tapspvi demolished the old temple and started rebuilding it. The communities of all walks of life visit the temple for blessings.

The sarpench in response to our query about the relations between varying communities, he turned an eye towards the local Gujjars who joined the group in the nearby tea stall.

Finally, the sarpench and residents including Gujjers and Hindus hugged us in a farewell, and I promised them that will highlight the instance in press. Therefore, government should look after the basic necessities including road and health mafia of the area and the historical Surinsar Lake and must think of its maintenance, so that this may attract the maximum tourists.
