Make a Queen Charlotte Lodge Your West Coast Salmon Fishing Club By Brian Clive Fishing Expert
Have you ever wanted to fish somewhere special? In place where only a lucky few anglers ever get to travel? Then look no further than the beautiful and mystical Queen Charlotte Islands. It is now possible to make a remote and exclusive Queen Charlotte lodge your own west coast salmon fishing club.
The Queen Charlotte Islands are located in British Columbia, Canada. Also known by their traditional First Nation name "Haida Gwaii" these remote islands are world renowned for their spectacular salmon and halibut fishing. Isolated, yet accessible, the Queen Charlottes´ provide anglers with an outdoor experience unmatched anywhere else on the globe.
Which Queen Charlotte lodge will you choose to be your own west coast salmon fishing club? There are a number of quality choices to match both your experience level and budget. From "u-drive" operations to all inclusive fully guided floating resorts the choice is yours!
The highest concentration of fishers (and related activity) can be found on the northern end of the Queen Charlotte Islands. A number of lodges and resorts operate in this area between May and September and during peak season between 150 and 300 boats share the water each day. Though this might seem like a lot of traffic one must remember that this is a very expansive area with many favorite places to fish. Not every boat will be hanging out at the same hot spot. At least, that is, not usually.
For a more personal and exclusive experience I suggest you do some research and check out the west side of the Queen Charlotte Islands. While less accessible to the masses, your efforts will be aptly rewarded with a more peaceful and less hurried angling adventure. Truly untouched, untapped and unbelievable the west side of the Queen Charlotte Islands is a sports fisher and nature lovers´ paradise. Because there is limited access to this area (via helicopter is the most reliable) the fishing grounds are shared with very few anglers over a season. Some days it will just be you and your clients or friends fishing these salmon rich waters from dawn to dusk. (Oh and by the way the halibut fishing is amazing too)
When you decide to a make one of these special Queen Charlotte lodges your personal west coast fishing club ensure you allow yourself at least 3 nights to enjoy the full experience. You won´t be disappointed and the sights and sounds (and fishing action) will be an everlasting personal memory.
