Delonghi Digital Toaster Oven - Is It Really the Best Toaster Oven?

Robin OBrien
If you think a more compact toaster oven cannot compete with the features on larger, more awkward units, then you have obviously not checked out the advanced features that a Delonghi digital toaster oven can offer. While they do not have as much interior room as some more expensive units, many consumers find the slight differences don´t matter much as long as the features they will use regularly are present.

There are two more advanced models from this manufacturer that delivers all of the convenience you want from a toaster oven, plus features not commonly found in their price ranges.

One of them is the Delonghi XD479B digital toaster oven. Instead of the typical turn dial setting controls that easily snap off of some other models, this one comes with digital controls that are rather easy to operate. It also has an LED front display for the timer and clock. It is black on the exterior with a wide front glass door, which works with the interior light to allow you to peek on your food without opening the door and losing heat.

The cooking functions on this Delonghi 4-Slice toaster oven include toast, broil, bake, and keep warm. It features a 99 minute timer, which is higher than some competing models. The best feature on the Delonghi XD479B toaster oven is the quick check temperature option which allows you to check that your food is keeping to the correct temperature during all phases of cooking.

For consumers looking for even more advanced features, the Delonghi AS670 toaster oven has all of the same cooking functions as the XD479B, but adds in convection cooking. This allows for more even and slight faster cooking, and once you try it out it is a feature that is hard to do without! Another unique feature that sets it apart from other units in the sixty to seventy dollar price range is the double rack set up where you can cook two dishes at once. The top rack can be removed, giving more cooking space for taller pans or foods.

The basic features of interior light and easy wipe interior surfaces combined with the dual rack and convection option all make this possibly the best toaster oven in its price range. It may be a 4 slice capacity with a more compact design, but it includes all of the features that you could ask for in a home toaster oven.

If you are in the market for a new kitchen appliance that makes cooking much easier and faster, the Delonghi digital toaster oven is a good option to consider.
