Paranormal Activity: This Movie Is Not For Wimps

Judy Ramsook
I have watched my share of horror movies. And the reason I watched them was because these kinds of movies are different from the usual romance or murder mystery.

One of the movies that stayed with me for a while was The Blair Witch Project. But before I saw that flick, I also saw many more horror movies, thanks to Stephen King and the Poltergeist series with Craig T. Nelson.

Then fast forward to this century and a movie that´s been receiving a lot of rave reviews. That movie is titled: Paranormal Activity.

If looked at from a logical standpoint, one will surmise that there was a special effects crew working on the ghostly matter.

The ghostly matter of seeing an invisible force lifting part of a sheet off a bed perhaps. Or sitting in one room while adjacent to where you are, you witness another unseen force make a hanging lamp move. And what about the notion that a movie is just a movie?

Maybe I don´t get scared as easily anymore. And if you have some history with the horror genre of movies, it might make you stop and wonder what viewing audience is so afraid of the Paranormal Activity movie.

Are they a bunch of wimps? Or did my logical viewpoint about the flick´s special effects just ruin it all for me? Unless it´s a Poltergeist variety, the dead are just that, dead.

And these days I might tend to be wary of the living than the dead.

Now The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, that was a scary movie. But if you really want to be scared, do check out Paranormal Activity.

It just might give you the scare you are looking for.
